So it's not the classiest burrito joint in town, but it does have that old-school Mexicana eating spot vibe. It's home of the first Mission burrito, and it's an unofficial historical landmark. More importantly, it has Kick-Ass carnitas burritos!
Mui Rico, Amigos!! Perfecto!! Mi gusta mucho! Mejor burrito en San Francisco!

I came here because I wanted to try a different taqueria and I was in the neighborhood. I also heard it had the reputation of being the earliest purveyor of the "mission burrito". I still have serious heartburn 12 hours later and I wish I had just stuck with reliable and always delicious El Farolito. I should have taken as an initial bad sign the fact they pulled my el pastor meat out of a metal tub (covered thank God) where it had been sitting for some time and then they reheated (thank God again). The whole burrito was uninspired and lacked sabor/flavor. For a $10+ burrito you can do much better in the Mission (try any place else) and more importantly save yourself from some intestinal distress. Service was pleasant but agonizingly slow despite the fact they were mostly empty (should have taken that as the first bad sign) and employees seemed pained to have to dole out this mediocre slop. Oldest burrito in SF, no doubt

I went in and asked for a taqueria style burrito and instead of whole beans per the description he puts in refried, and then I asked for steak and he said it was already in there. That's how little steak he put in - I could barely see it. He explained that they usually put in one spoonful of steak, and it was probably hidden by the beans - but it must have been a tea spoon. It's like he was afraid he'd run out of steak. Overall, it was so small. It was nowhere near $10 worth of food. Next.

I usually post all my reviews with pictures or at least 95% of them. Even when my phone is dead I try to take pictures with my friend or family members phones for my reviews. I could not get a picture of my burrito because we ordered our food to go and it didn't even make it to the car!
I tore my burrito up practically in the middle of the street! Whenever I'm in the San Francisco area I will always stop here for an authentic burrito.
Great service and good food - Fast paced, just overall a good on the go burrito experience. I wouldn't mind sitting here and eating but I would probably just grab to go when I do come in the future and that's Mostly because they don't serve liquor. -

I pass by this on my way to work and often get the breakfast burrito before I start my day. The food is great, be it breakfast or lunch.
The staff is amazing- I've become a regular that I say my hello's to Raymunda and Gabriel in the mornings where I either take my breakfast burrito for here or to go.
Price is great, if you order small it's limited or no meat at all so just go for the Regular, Super if you're feeling sour cream.
